Assumption Catholic School wanted to transform a highly visible area of its parking lot into a mural that would celebrate its Ukrainian Catholic identity while bringing greater awareness to the school and supporting admissions. The design incorporates Ukrainian Catholic colors, symbols, and traditions, with careful attention paid to details that make the artwork authentic. Even the decorative scrollwork in the background was inspired directly by the pattern found on a bishop’s vestment. It’s an example of how Koval Mural approaches cultural and historical projects: digging beyond the obvious imagery to find the small, meaningful details that give a mural a genuine connection to the people and institution it represents.
